Technologies are evolving rapidly. And most people seem to be struggling to keep up with the developments. But the changes offer enormous opportunities for knowledge sharing, networking and promotion of best practices. These opportunities are crucial for the growth of the Internet in Africa. Through its established conference, the African Network Information Centre (AFRINIC), the African Network Operators Group and the other AF* organisations convene the annual Africa Internet Summit (AIS) to provide an important platform for a broad spectrum of ICT professionals to share rich experiences and knowledge on the growth, use and effects of ICTs. Due to the prevailing Covd-19 pandemic, the Africa Internet Summit 2020 (AIS’20) will be held online on 14-18 September 2020
The Africa Internet Summit provides an opportunity to strengthen policies and promote technical discussions, ensuring an evidence-based response to Internet issues in Africa. The meetings also serve as an occasion to intensify commitments from governments, the private sector, civil society and academia, amongst others toward the growth of Internet in Africa. The online meeting will give you the opportunity to learn from your peers, share knowledge and discuss on relevant ICT topics. You will learn more about the strategies driving IPv6 deployment throughout the continent.
The registration and meeting platform details for the event will be shared soon. We look forward to your active participation. We always welcome a diversity of voices which Africa offers. This is inherently fundamentally important to the success of our meetings.
