Call for Applications for the AFRINIC Fellowship Programme
Applications are now open for the AFRINIC Fellowship Programme for AFRINIC-37, taking place during the Africa Internet Summit 2026 (AIS’26) from 22 to 26 June 2026 in Nairobi.
This initiative is tailored to support emerging voices in Africa’s Internet ecosystem by providing meaningful exposure to policy, technology, and stakeholder engagement at a continental level.
Programme Overview
The fellowship offers selected participants the opportunity to attend and actively engage in AFRINIC-37, including the Public Policy Meeting and the Annual General Members’ Meeting (AGMM). It is designed to foster learning, collaboration, and participation in discussions that shape the future of Internet development in the region.
What You Will Gain

- • Interact with a wide network of experts, including technical specialists, regulators, academics, and industry leaders
- • Participate in technical sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing platforms
- • Contribute perspectives from your local context to regional conversations
Eligibility Criteria
- • Be residents of an African country.
- • Be engaged in, or have a demonstrated interest in, the Internet ecosystem.
- • Not necessarily be an AFRINIC member.
- • Commit to submitting a post-event report highlighting the impact of the fellowship.
Fellowship Support
- • Return airfare to attend AFRINIC-37.
