AFRINIC hosts public mailing list forums to facilitate discussion on a range of topics relating to Internet number resources management, network engineering and Internet governance. Most of these mailing lists are open to anybody who has an interest in the activities of AFRINIC working groups and provides space for people to share information for the benefit of the entire community.
While AFRINIC encourages the use of these lists for a healthy, relevant debate and information sharing, we also advise all to ensure that the AFRINIC Community Code of Conduct is respected.

This mailing list is for formal members only and is provided to our members as a forum for discussion and exchange on AFRINIC business in general, and more particularly on issues specific to AFRINIC membership.
This list is not a Resource Policy Discussion mailing list (see the RPD list for more information).
The IANA oversight transition proposal needs to have community support and input from the AFRINIC region and beyond and address the following four principles:
Support and enhance the multi-stakeholder model
Maintain the security, stability, and resiliency of the Internet DNS
Meet the needs and expectation of the global customers and partners of the IANA services
Maintain the openness of the Internet

The AFRINIC Database Working Group provides a channel for discussion between AFRINIC staff, technical community members, and other stakeholders, regarding the implementation of AFRINIC's WHOIS service.
AFRINIC manages and publishes Reverse DNS (RDNS) zone data for the IP space we allocate or assign to members.
It allows the community to validate authoritative DNS data from AFRINIC's RDNS zones and members to publish DS records to build the chain of trust for their RDNS zones.DNSSEC deployment is an NRO coordinated project as ERX blocks need coordinated actions.

The aim of the working group is to provide a platform to Internet researchers, network operators, social scientists to discuss topics related to Internet measurements from both the technical and socio-economic angles.
The WG will have a strong focus on measurement studies in Africa and will be used to convey research or workshop outcomes to the members. Atlas project participants (probe and anchor holders) will also be added to this list.
